What is the role of public sector PR during COVID-19?
The CIPR Local Public Sector group has produced a short video of camera clips from its members working in frontline COVID-19 roles.
The video explains the role of public sector communicators in informing policy through research and analysis, and engaging with the public via multiple forms of content, media and channels.
PR practitioners are communication and media officers; community managers; content creators and writers; creators and makers; marketeers; policy makers; researchers and analysts; and website managers.
I like it because it recognises the work of CIPR public sector members. In 90 seconds explains the role of PR in informing and educating the public during the crisis. It’s a brilliant piece of authentic communication.
The CIPR was founded by a group of public sector communications more than 70 years ago. It’s great to see it supporting members through the COVID-19 crisis.
Thanks to Mandy Pearse, Dan Slee, and everyone that contributed to video.
