WaddsCon

WaddsCon is a monthly conference and lively learning and development event that covers innovation in marketing, media, and public relations.

The event is hosted by Stephen Waddington and takes place over lunch via Zoom webinar from 1pm-2pm. Each speaker presents for five minutes followed by a Q&A with the audience led by Stephen. Attendance is typically 100-200 people and there is animated discussion in the chat and on Twitter.

Waddscon is recognised as a learning and development activity by both the CIPR and PRCA. You can claim attendance as a continuous professional development activity.

Conference tickets cost a £10 donation to The Bay Foodbank. It's our local foodbank in Newcastle. We also make free tickets available for each event for students or people who can't afford to make a donation.

We’ll be joined by four practitioners for the next event on 1-2pm, Thursday, 23 February to talk about artificial intelligence. We want to explore the impact of generative tools on practice.

Here's the line-up:

  • Andrew Smith, PR engineer and technologist - An AI explosion of GPT-3 tools

  • Mark Rofe, Digital creative - AI creative and media

  • Maya Koleva, Measurement maven - Media analysis and measurement

  • Bruno Amaral, Internet philosopher - A strategic perspective

You'd be welcome to join us. Head over to Eventbrite to grab a ticket.

Promotion and production of WaddsCon is funded by Wadds Inc. as part of its marketing and investment in its communities. It is supported by CommsHero, PR Cavalry, Reuben Sinclair, and the PRCA.
