#BrandVandals Social Book Club: 10 preview copies up for grabs

We’re gearing up to launch #BrandVandals. The publication date for the print edition is Hallowe’en. The book will be officially launched in the UK at a party on 5 November, with international dates to follow.

The choice of either date wasn’t deliberate but it is uncanny how these things work out.

#BrandVandals isn’t a book: it’s a more of a conversation about reputation wreckers, the modern weapons at their disposal and how organisations should look to go about building better defences. It continues the story of Brand Anarchy published last year.

As Steve Earl and I were writing the book we shared ideas about #BrandVandals via our blogs, Facebook and Twitter, welcoming comments on early drafts. We’re hugely grateful for your ideas and comments along the way, many of which have made it into the book. Here’s a sample chapter to whet your appetite.

The title of the book was changed to hashtag as it was heading to print. We reckon it’s a first in the book publishing business and we’re grateful to Sophia Blackwell our publicist at Bloomsbury for the late suggestion.

Social Book Club

We’d like to invite you to receive an early copy in ebook format and join the conversation. We’re creating the #BrandVandals Social Book Club.

Ten participants will receive a copy of the ebook, an invitation to the UK launch party in London and the opportunity to discuss any of the issues raised with Steve and myself.

In return we’d like you to review the book on Amazon or blog and share your view via your social media weapon of choice using #BrandVandals. We’ll send you a signed copy of the print edition by way of thanks.

Please register your interest via this online form (link removed as applications now closed - 3 October 2013). We won't use your data for any other purpose than to contact you about the #BrandVandals Social Book Club.

In the event that we’re overwhelmed with responses we’ll ask our kids to select names from a list. They’re our personal team of #BrandVandals to whom we’ve dedicated the project. We couldn’t think of a fairer way.

If you’re an academic, blogger or journalist we’d love you to review #BrandVandals. Please contact Sophia (@SophiaBlackwell) at Bloomsbury.
